You Make Me Glow

Do you keep a wish list?  I most certainly do, especially when it comes to skincare products and gadgets.  I am always seeing interesting and noteworthy products and gadgets! One product that has been on my wish list for quite a while has been the Pure Radiance Oils from True Botanicals. 

They piqued my interest when I looked up their ingredients and - wow oh wow - they are each packed with amazing oils full of antioxidants, emollients, moisturizers and calming agents! True Botanicals also uses essential oils which have the benefits of aromatherapy.

I received the “You Make Me Glow” face care kit, and let me break down my thoughts on the products for you.

Renew Nourishing Cleanser

This milky cleanser is most definitely a sensory product.  The scent of the jasmine oil with a hint of lavender and a very faint touch of grapefruit really stands out. So simply divine!  This cleanser is full of antioxidants but also soothing and calming ingredients. This is a must have if you have dry, normal, or combination skin. I use this every other night because of my combination skin.

Renew Pure Radiance Oil

I have been using the Renew Pure Radiance Oils for over 2 weeks, and I have been so surprised by how my skin looks and feels! I use 5-6 drops for my face, neck and chest. I expected the oil to feel greasy, but instead it feels light and hydrating. It’s slippery but not greasy, and it goes on oh so light and absorbs so quickly.  My combination skin loves this right now with indoor heaters running!  It will be too slippery for me in the spring and summer but this will be a star product in my regimen now! This oil’s aroma is more woodsy because of the Frankincense and Neroli flower oil. 

The Moonstone roller

This roller is the perfect addition to the cleanser and oil.  Stone rollers are thought to clear toxins and decrease puffiness. The cooling effect from the roller can help drain lymph from the facial lymph nodes.  I recommend starting at the middle of the face and going outwards towards the hairline (stop for a moment) and then down to the armpits.  The lymph doesn’t need heavy or harsh pressure - light, gentle strokes will do. 

**A side note for essential oil use on the face.  I prefer to use products with essential oils at night that way they are absorbed and/or washed off before morning.  Essential oils can be mildly phototoxic, which makes you more susceptible to the damages from the sun.  If you are prone to melasma, dark spots, acne stain, or are very sensitive, essential oils may not be for you or used with extreme caution and only at night. If you have none of the above, SPF is still necessary when using essential oils. 

 I am a sucker for packaging, but I truly love looking at ingredient lists to see what is in a product. Does this product contain ingredients that will actually do what the company says it will?  True Botanicals is truly a thoughtful company. They have sought out ingredients for their oils, cleansers, serums, and mists that will clear, renew, and calm your skin.  If you are looking for a way to try this product line, a kit like this is the way to go!  You could even gift it to the women or men in your life. We can all use a little more calm in our lives right now!
